Kobe is the ‘King’ of beef, and the Chuck Filet Steak is a tender and more price conscious cut to sink your teeth into.

Ingredients

4 Kobe Chuck Filet Steaks
Sea Salt
Fresh Black Pepper
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Preparation

Rub each steak with Extra Virgin Olive Oil – just enough to have a light shine –and season with fine Sea Salt and Fresh Black Pepper.

Add your favourite rub if you like, and place on a hot grill or in a hot pan. Your desired doneness will depend on how thick your steaks are and the heat of your grill or pan. If your steak is 11/4” and your grill is at 375F to 400F you should achieve a beautiful medium rare in approximately 8 minutes.

With Kobe it is best to cook at slightly lower temperatures to prevent unnecessary flare ups which will impart an unpleasant flavor.

Be sure to rest your steaks for a few minutes and drizzle with fine Olive Oil like our ‘Ferula or Ravida’ Oils.
