Halibut or Sea Bass Fish Taco
Jul 10, 2013
Chef David Blum
The best crowd pleasing appetizer I've witnessed so far.
Cutting all vegetables and prep before hand always makes the hosting easy and fun.
Firm white fillet fish such as Halibut or Sea bass works best for this recipe.
Serves:
6Ingredients
Main Dish
Sea bass or halibut fillet, boneless and skinless – cut into thin steaks
Salt and pepper to season
Olive oil
Cleaned sprigs of coriander
Sriracha or Frank's Red Hot
Corn tortillas
Sliced avocados
Salsa
1 Tomato diced
1 Jalapeno seeded and finely diced
½ bunch green onion finely sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Juice from one lime
Olive oil
Preparation
Mix all ingredients for salsa and set aside
Sliced avocado and place on a place along with the coriander sprigs
Season and lightly oil the fish fillets
Place first side onto hot grill, allowing fillet to cook for 2 minutes on first side without interrupting it. Flip and allow to finish cooking on second side
Place small piece of fish on taco, add some salsa, avocado wedge, coriander and drizzle with sriracha, fold and pass to guest and enjoy!
